Staff were FRIENDLY & breakfast was wonderful. We liked the balcony, it was lovely.
-
Helpful reception staff.
Very poor service at breakfast - found own table after waiting 5 minutes, then ignored and 5 later arrivals served before us. Insufficient lighting in all areas. Asked to move out of the way by bar staff.

The room and bathroom were both excellent. The decor and general ambience was lovely and romantic. The room felt really decadent and the bed was huge. Overall a really lovely hotel.
We weren't very impressed with the cocktails. We expected to pay more than in another venue as it is Malmaison but the quality of the cocktails was disappointing. We also enjoyed a meal in the brasserie. Again the ambience was lovely as was the wine. We enjoyed the meal overall but for the price we paid we would have hope for slightly better quality/flavour.

The hotel location was excellent right next to the train station. The interior was very boho chic. The rooms were an excellent size with all the facilities you could need.
The rooms could have done to be a bit brighter as it was difficult to see when putting on make up.The cost of car parking at the nearest ncp was expensive we stayed for 3 days and it cost £30.
-
comfortable bed and a lovely shower
The milk was a bit off, when I when to make a cup of tea and their were bathrobes, considering the price and it was suppose to be a superior room. Too much noise my room was situated by the main road,I couldn't sleep in.
-
The bathroom was amazing. Huge and the drench shower was lovely.
We were in room 207 and the room was far too cramped. We couldn't even walk around the foot of the bed unless sideways and singularly. Having seen in other rooms on the same tariff, I would suggest those cramped rooms should be on a discounted rate! The bed wasn't very comfy either, very hard, but I guess that is down to personal taste.

The room was lovely, cozy and extremly clean. Staff where helpfull, nice and well presented. The restaurant and food was amazing. Will definately go back. The hotel and rooms had great decor.
-
Fantastic citycentre location, smart decor and good facilities
-
Staff were excellant and very helpful - room was supurb and spotlessly clean.
-
Mal maison is an interesting and slightly different hotel brand.
Paying for water in the room - £1.50 and water at the resdtaurant table -£2.00; not the best way to foster loyalty.
-
I thought the room was up to a high standard, very clean.
